5 Questions Your Home Page Should Answer | |||
| 1. | Who are you? No need to get into your whole story -- just a short, concise mission statement will suffice, with a link to your company/about-us page. Also, your logo should be featured prominently. | |||
| 2. | What do you offer? It's frustrating to visit a website and not know what's being sold or presented. If you're selling gift baskets, be sure to have one on the home page. |
|||
| 3. | Where can I find it? Anything your visitor needs -- contact info, pricing, advertising information -- should be easily found, with easy-to-find links and easy-to-read fonts. | |||
| 4. | Can I trust you? We all want to do business with sites that are reputable, so be sure that you display your Secured Seal (if you have a secured site) and that all your links work and info is up to date. | |||
| 5. | Why should I bother? Your home page has only 2 to 3 seconds to make a first impression. Mixing a smart layout with good content can keep the odds in your favor. | |||
