5 Email Marketing Tips
1. Make sure your company or brand name is in the "from" line of your email, which tells recipients who sent the email.
2. Keep your subject lines brief and to the point.
3. Offer a web version of your HTML email, just in case the recipient's email client or web interface doesn't render HTML correctly.
4. Avoid repetitive punctuation. Many email filters are set up to move any emails containing things like "$$$" or "!!!" to the trash, so leave the symbol strings to your Facebook page.
5. "Re:" stands for "Reply" and only should be used in replies. We've gotten our share of emails from smart-aleck marketers who try to trick us into reading their emails by having "Re:" in the subject line. But while they may fool us once, there are many of us who adjust our filters to ban future emails from their address, so, ultimately, the joke's on them.
