5 Very Tired & Overused Marketing Words
1. "Best." Hellman's mayonnaise aside, saying your company is simply "the best" can create immediate skepticism. Try to back up your claim with some facts: Were you voted the best or rated the best? If so, when and by whom?
2. "Solutions." Overused and vague. So many companies promise to solve problems that the term has lost its edge.
3. "Quality." This is another one of those relative terms: High-end specialty retailers and discounters are, arguably, both purveyors of quality merchandise.
4. "Professional." As opposed to unprofessional? Professionalism is expected.
5. "Unique." Aren't we all?
