5 Business Card Tips
1. Make your name prominent. Often new business associates will tell you their name, but it really doesn’t register until you look at the one on the card in your hands--the spelling, the ethnicity, the way the letters go together. Make sure yours is easy to find.
2. Have a logo. You don’t have to have one professionally designed. Just be creative. One of our favorite writers, Kristyn Lak Miller, simply uses the alphabet with the KLM (her initials) enlarged.
3. Always include your website and email address.
4. Look professional. Good card stock and raised lettering are our personal favorites.
5. Be unique… but practical. Vertical business cards may be cooler than their horizontal friends, but they’re a pain in the neck to read when in a rolodex.
